Born in Germany, Frank Rumpf has been a travel writer for more than 15 years. Until 2007, he was the editor of the travel section of "Welt am Sonntag", Germany’s leading Sunday paper. He has written books on Hamburg, Chicago, the South Sea (with Volker Mehnert), modern-day air travel and the logistics of travelling. His travel stories and reports have been published in "Die Welt" and "Welt am Sonntag", "Frankfurter Allgemeine" and "Handelsblatt" among others. Frank Rumpf lives in Hamburg.
